How do I Uninstall StopAd in MacOS
How to Uninstall StopAd in MacOS
Removing Apps from a Mac is a bit different from the process on a Windows PC.
After Apple adopted NeXT OS and launched macOS X in 2001, it also maintained the UNIX way of separating system files from a user's working space.
This means that StopAd is typically stored in the /Applications directory, and the user preferences for app configuration is stored in ~/Library/Preferences.
If you are deleting StopAd because of technical issues related to our software, we want to be sure that there is nothing else we can do to help you address the problem. Our Customer Support Department is ready 24/7 to help resolve any issues
Please take these steps to uninstall StopAd from the system:
- Quit the StopAd application by clicking on the Apple logo in the top left corner of your Desktop and selecting Force Quit…, highlight StopAd and click Force Quit.
- Next, click on the Finder icon, select 'Applications' from the left sidebar (or press Command(⌘) + A) and find StopAd in the folder.
- Drag and drop the StopAd icon to the Trash or Control(⌃) + click on StopAd and select 'Move to Trash' from the drop-down.
- Finally, “Empty Trash”. Control(⌃) + click on the Trash icon located at the end of the Dock, and choose “Empty Trash.”
If you change your mind before emptying the Trash, select the app in the Trash, then choose File > Put Back.
Warning: When you empty the Trash, the app is permanently removed from your Mac. But please note that you can always download StopAd from our official website https://stopad.io/mac
